As the former Global Social Media Leader at Flight Centre Travel Group, Gregg lead a global team executing on a Social Media strategy based around campaign management, content distribution, building communities, crowdsourcing for ideas and content, monitoring and engagement, driving referral traffic, email acquisition, improving SEO, and risk mitigation and crisis management.
Gregg has a knack for identifying emerging technologies, concepts, and trends and has leveraged this intuition to expand his professional development within various companies including; Flight Centre Travel Group, Relizon, and Konica. His creative ideas have been used in various campaigns (concept to execution) and solutions such as; Best Travel Job Ever, Social Media recruiting, Second Honeymoon, and Flight Centre’s Social Content Management System (S-CMS).
Gregg lead the development team building an in-house Social CMS which supports; Facebook contests, pages, and campaigns, YouTube, Instagram, Pinterest and other social channel integration, eDM integration, mobile deployment, and brand micro-sites. He also managed the development and roadmaps of the user generated content (UGC), hashtag aggregation, employee advocacy, and the media (blogger) talent platforms. Gregg represented Flight Centre Travel Group on Hootsuite’s Customer Advisory Committee.
During Gregg’s personal time, he enjoys quality time with his family and friends traveling, enjoying good food and drink, skiing, golfing (though truth be told, he sucks), relaxing at the cottage, camping, and exploring the great outdoors.
